Here comes the sun!

Amazingly, Normandy can be as well known for its nice weather as for its rain. This year has been beautiful so far - just a couple of weeks of cooler weather since March but not so hot that you need an air-conditioned box to sit in!

Orne, where we live, is the most southerly part of Normandy on the border with the Pays de la Loire (Mayenne) & the landscape south of here turns into rolling hills & eventually vineyards. In general, Normandy is a degree or two warmer than the south of England generally speaking so it is ideal for activities such as cycling, running, swimming, kayaking, etc. Normans are generally outdoor people whether it be due to their job, their hobby, or just enjoying being "en plein air".

Locally to La Bouyardière is the Lake at La Ferté Macé where there is a man-made beach with a shallow area for paddling, boats for hire, a fishing zone & an 1100 metre open water swimming course. On top of this you can run around the lake which is around 1500 metres, hire peddle powered go-carts (don't let the kids steer - its terrifying!) & a beautiful lakeside cafe that serves refreshments. If you love the outdoors or you want to entertain yourself & your children, then this is the perfect place to be! Free parking, free to enter & picnics allowed - la belle vie! @cybevasion #cybevasion #bookingcom @bookingcom
